The hotly anticipated Honda e will be Honda’s first globally launched, pure electric car when it arrives next year. It promises to be super fun, with a torquey, responsive electric motor and ultralow center of gravity working in concert to deliver excellent driving dynamics– which brings me to an interesting point. That is, we actually know a lot about the upcoming electric Honda … but we really don’t know much about its interior. Or, we didn’t, because Honda just dropped a few pictures showing off the car’s digital interior– and it is absolutely stunning!

As you can see from the pictures, the new 2020 Honda e’s dashboard is made up of 5 screens. They’re high-res screens that occupy the entire width of the cabin for an appropriately modern take on what is a decidedly retro design. Of course, the screens also launch new connectivity and entertainment features like a wide-angle backup camera (shown) and interactive, GPS-based weather app. All of which is a huge upgrade from my personal Civic, which you may remember from this post back in 2014, when my little Civic was still Honda’s little Civic.
Anyway, there’s a lot to love about the Honda e’s retro, chunky style. That’s especially true if you’re a fan of some of the early first and second-generation Honda Civic coupes that the new e is stylistically based on. If you’ve never seen one of those, or just can’t quite place it, check out the ad I included, below, then let us know what you think of the Honda e EV’s interior design and layout in the comments section at the bottom of the page.
