Regular Gas 2.0 readers (I still like “Gas2ronaughts”) are well aware that I snatch every opportunity I get to write about new Lancia products – be it the new Multi-Air, stop/start equipped Delta or proposed, 40 mpg Ypsilon-based luxury compact – so I was surprised when I checked in on the Mopar-specific Allpar and found a Lancia-badged Chrysler I never knew existed:  the Lancia Grand Voyager CRD diesel.

The Grand Voyager features all of Chryco’s luxury goodies, in addition to Lancia-specific “Napa” leather and, of course, a jewel of a 2.8 Liter common-rail diesel engine that makes over 160 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque … and it looks like a million bucks.

Lancia 2.8L CRD - Henri Kern, Allpar

The best part?  The big Lancia carries 30/39 mpg (UK) fuel economy rating – about 50% better than the gasoline version.  How’s that for having your cake and eating it, too!?

You can check out all the specs (including hp/tq figures for the conventional gas-powered minivans and a full gallery of Lancia Grand Voyager images) over at Allpar.
