We here at enrg.io are big fans of all-electric transport. While our focus is electric cars, we also like to give a nod to smaller electric modes of transportation. As such, here is a list of the five best electric scooter for adults that allow the rider to sit while operating the vehicle. Enjoy!
Razor became a household name after releasing their lightweight folding kick scooter. Come to think of it, I can’t name a single one of my kids’ friends that don’t own at least one. It turns out that Razor also makes electric scooters for adults! Their EcoSmart Metro is affordable, stylish, and can reach speeds of up to 18 miles per hour. I may have to pick one up for my uh…kids.
Our least expensive option comes to us from Currie Technologies and it is a looker! This folding scooter features a durable high-tension steel frame and a non-slip ABS resin deck in addition to its heavy duty braking system. The scooter can also travel up to twelve miles on a single charge and reach speeds of up to 15 miles per hour. Perfect for your city commute.
Designed for people with mobility issues, the Challenger X is neither cheap nor small. It is however, an extremely sturdy vehicle that could be an excellent ride under the right circumstances. The Challenger X is capable of reaching speeds of up to 18 miles per hour and can travel as far as 20 miles on a single charge. The only downside is that the operator will need a place to park it once their destination is reached.
The UberScoot can reach impressive top speeds in the 24-26 mile per hour range. Unfortunately, this scooter only has a range of about 10 miles before an additional charge is needed. Still, for the commuter in a hurry who doesn’t have far to go, the UberScoot provides a quality product at a reasonable price.
Our final scooter with seat is the Cadillac of electric scooters. The Nanrobot D4 is powerful, attractive, and expensive! Still, it can reach speeds of up to 40 miles per hour and ranges of up to 45 miles on a single charge making the cost worth it. The scooter’s powerful 1000W motor can handle inclines of more than 30 degrees and its disk braking system will keep you from crashing. If you’re wallet is fat and you have a need for speed, this is the scooter for you!
